I’ve registered for an account on gtrailwaycareers.com previously, but now the site looks different and I can’t log on.

We’ve recently updated our careers site (isn’t it nice!). This means that you will have to re-register your details here. We’ve tried to simplify the registration/application process, so hopefully it doesn’t take too much of your time.

When are you next advertising for Trainee Train Driver?

I applied for a role a little while ago and haven’t heard anything back, what should I do?

The best course of action in this situation is to log into your account and see what status your application is at and what emails you have been sent (sometimes these can end up in your spam folder, so it’s worth double checking). If there’s no news in there and it’s been more than two weeks since the job ad closed, feel free to get in contact with the recruitment team on recruitment@gtrailway.com. When emailing us, if you could include the job title and reference number in the subject line, it would be really helpful. For high volume roles, it can take us some time to get through all the applications and it may take longer than two weeks to process your application. Thanks for your patience!

I can’t remember the password for my account. How do I reset it?

No problem, just click here and enter your email address to receive a reset link. If you don’t receive this link, make sure to check your spam folder.

I’m having technical problems with my application or online assessment.

If you have tried a few times and followed the instructions provided already then send us an email at: hr_resourcing@gtrailway.com. Please include as much detail of what happened as possible, including times, browser type, what you clicked on, and what the error message was. If you can include a screenshot, it would be especially helpful. When emailing us, if you could include the job title and reference number in the subject line, it helps save time.

I unsuccessfully applied for the same type of role in the last six months, when can I apply again?

If you were unsuccessful with any part of an application, you will need to wait six months from when you received your ‘unsuccessful notification’ before you can apply again. This is to ensure fairness in the application/assessment process for all candidates.

What do I need to bring to my Assessment/Interview?

The key thing you need to bring is your ‘Right to Work’ documents, information on this is detailed here: Preparation Information. Generally, you don’t need to bring anything else and if you do, this will be clearly outlined in your confirmation email.

If successful, will I have to go through a medical assessment?

Every offer of employment is subject to the receipt of a satisfactory medical assessment and a drugs and alcohol test. The type of medical that you have to go through depends on the role you have applied for.
