We are currently recruiting a Wheel Lathe Operator (Train Maintainer/Service Engineer) to join our already successful team at Hornsey Train Servicing Depot. You will be responsible for re-profiling wheel sets to required standards.
This is a great opportunity to develop your Electrical and Mechanical experience in a newly updated engineering environment. Our engineers are constantly supported in their competences and training, so that we produce excellent work. The size of our train fleet requires a complex engineering support organisation to control activities such as maintenance, engineering support and safety.

The position will be regarded as a two shift post, working a balanced three week, 35 hour per week roster.
Comprising of 6 x 7 hour day shifts, 1 day off, 7 x 9 hour night shifts, 6 days off
You will have experience of machine operations within an engineering environment. Ideally you will be familiar with or have worked with rolling stock and you must have completed an apprenticeship or be able to demonstrate the equivalent skills development or experience.
