Now recruiting 5 Performance Attribution Managers across GTR’s – Great Northern Route!
Exciting opportunities has arisen to become part of a new team of Performance Attribution Managers, working within the Operations Department across the Great Northern Route.
Purpose of the role
Improving the performance of our service is a critical priority for us. Key to this is understanding the causes of our delays and cancellations. The PAM team will lead the work within our Operations team to investigate delays and cancellations, attribute root causes and create reports to enable the local teams to develop and implement improvement actions. The PAMs will also lead the tracking of improvements and our performance communication initiatives.
Key roles and responsibilities
- To establish through thorough investigations the root cause of Traincrew incidents and ensure data integrity within our systems,
- Support the Operations Management Team for improvements in performance metrics (PPM, delay minutes, cancellations, significant lateness and short formations) to meet agreed targets. And exceed franchise benchmarks.
- Embed a performance culture of continuous improvement within all Traincrew Depots to drive continuous improvements.
- Build strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
The successful applicants will be responsible for the correct investigation; attribution and reporting of train running delay information, whilst supporting the Operational Management team improve performance as measured by the industry performance metrics.
You will be the point of contact for all Traincrew delay and cancellations, and will primarily focus on investigation and the gathering of information from Traincrew, whilst working collaboratively with internal departments to ensure that delay and cancellation root causes are established and recorded correctly. Additional areas that will be expected are trend analysis and providing written reports.
The role holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise workloads with a meticulous attention to detail, have experience in managing investigations through to conclusions, have a high IT literacy in Word and Excel and be able to interpret large amounts of data (holding no less than 1 years’ experience in data interpretation), be a clear communicator both verbally and non-verbally and possess the ability to influence others.
