Work Experience
Our work experience programmes are aimed at students aged 14-18 and are open to young people from all ability levels and backgrounds. You don’t have to love trains to enjoy our work experience programmes at GTR (but we also welcome those who do). For us, work experience has never been about making the tea or filing documents, we want to truly show young people what our industry has to offer and introduce them to new skills that can be used in any workplace.
We’re constantly innovating our work experience programmes to make the best use of new technologies and make these accessible to more of our community. From our office spaces to our engineering sheds, our stations to our driver depots and everything in between, we love opening our doors to students across our networks to show what life at GTR is like!
